Kolob Canyon is part of Zion National Park and therefor the entrance fee per car is the same as Zion (recommend getting a National Parks Pass beforehand). There are a couple trails you can hike; my personal favorite is Taylor Creek. Parking is not a problem as most visitors to the area don't take time to visit this park. Be sure to drive all the way up to the Kolob Canyon Scenic Viewpoint at the top, you'll easily get some spectacular photos from the lookout. Also, if you like Mexican food and since you'll be passing through Cedar City, don't miss out on eating at Lupitas Mexican Restaurant across from the Walmart Super Center.
